Randolph is alive year round with a bunch of activities and get-togethers! The calendar below contains many of the events taking place in and around town. Please add your own event using the Add Event button below. For municipal meetings and other town business please consult the Town of Randolph website

Annual Randolph events

  • Safe & Seen Halloween at Gazebo and Main Street (October 31)
  • Gear House's Annual Used Gear Swap (November)
  • Christmas Tree lighting ceremony (December)
  • First Fridays on Main Street and Merchants Row (summer)
  • Annual Furniture/Yard Sale at Bethany Chapel (June)
  • Independence Day parade through downtown (July 4)
  • New World Festival at Chandler Center for the Arts (September)
  • Gear House contributes to Slab Bike event every summer, as well as the Circus Ride Gravel Race, Peavine Whitewater Race, Braintree Bluegrass Brunch Rides, and three weekly group rides through the season

Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival Week 1

On Saturday, August 8, get ready for Week 1 of the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival!

The program features works by Brahms, Gliere, and Zelenski. It opens with Johannes Brahms’s Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 120 for viola and piano, moving through its four movements from the driving Allegro appassionato to the lively Vivace. Reinhold Gliere’s Eight Pieces, Op. 39 for violin and cello follow, a varied set that ranges from a graceful Gavotte and lyrical Berceuse to a spirited Scherzo and Etude.

After intermission, the program concludes with Wladyslaw Zelenski’s Piano Quartet in C minor, Op. 61, unfolding from the bold Allegro con brio through a reflective Romanza and Intermezzo to an expressive, energetic finale.

On Friday, August 14, experience a special evening of the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival with cellist Erik Friedlander!

Block Ice & Propane is a vivid musical road journal, a collection of pieces that evoke endless interstate drives, small-town truck stops, and the wide, open stretches of the American landscape. Drawing from American roots and folk traditions, Friedlander shapes these influences into a sound that is distinctly his own.

The project is grounded in memories of childhood cross-country trips with his family, and that sense of movement, distance, and discovery runs throughout the music. Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival Week 2

On Saturday, August 15, get ready for Week 2 of the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival, a special concert honoring Walter Parker!

The program brings together mixed ensembles of strings, winds, and piano, culminating in Dohnányi’s Sextet in C major, Op. 37. It opens with Louis Spohr’s Grand Duo for violin and viola, Op. 13, moving from a poised Allegro moderato through a lyrical Adagio to a graceful Tempo di Menuetto. Robert Kahn’s Trio Serenade in F minor, Op. 73 for clarinet, horn, and piano follows, shifting from an expressive Andante sostenuto to a lively Vivace and a set of variations on an original theme.
