Join us for an hour long, all things houseplants presentation from Judy Mirro, our local UVM Extension Master Gardener Program Volunteer, (aka: The Houseplant Hero).
Whether you’re a beginner or an enthusiast, we’ll discuss all things houseplants – from lighting, water, soil, temperature, air, nutrients, pests’ issues and even help match the right plant to your home conditions.
We’ll also welcome a (health/pest free) plant swap, and raffle off some Master Gardener grown house plants.
All are welcome.

Don't throw it away - get it fixed by someone ... like a student at Vermont State University
(Vermont Tech) or one of many enthusiastic community Fixers who have
skills that may not exist in your house.
Sponsored by Vermont State University, BALE (Building A Local Economy), Kimball Library, and the Sharon Energy Committee.

Choose a horror pick (Model Home by Rivers Solomon) or a cozy fantasy pick (Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yambao), or read both! Then join us for some delectable snacks and a good time. We also regularly chat about other books we've been enjoying, so feel free to come chat with other book lovers.

Join Vermont residents to learn about their victories - and defeats - in this 3-part series on how everyday people can find funding, build a team, and think creatively about housing development. Free admission; refreshments provided.

John Aberth, a licensed volunteer wildlife rehabilitator, will present on his book, Bringing Up Beaver, about his raising and release of an orphaned beaver kit. On May 10, 2020, a beaver kit—BK—was found in St. Albans, Vermont and handed over to John Aberth, a rehabilitator who specializes in beaver. Over the next two years, John raised BK and prepared him for release back into the wild. This presentation will use both video and photos to augment and flesh out BK’s story as told in Bringing Up Beaver.
