Live Poetry Open Mic Event. Anyone can bring poems to read or just come to listen.

Join us for a screening of The Tallest Dwarf, then stay afterwards for a discussion.
Film description: "The Tallest Dwarf follows filmmaker Julie Forrest Wyman as she searches for her place in the little people community and unpacks rumors of dwarfism in her own family. Through intimate stories, creative collaborations, and archival history, the film delves into identity and medicine, asking whether society should change people or the structures that limit them."
Thank you to Indie Lens Pop-Up for partnering with us to provide the film for screening.

The Pie Poets include Ina Anderson, Doreen Ballard, Beverly Breen, Debby Franzoni, and Hatsy McGraw. Their name comes from their first collection titled, “Perhaps it was the pie.” The Pie Poets will read at Chandler’s Esther Mesh Room with a pie reception following the readings.

The Vermont Fiddle Orchestra will take the stage at the Chandler Center for the Arts on Sunday, April 12 at 4:00 PM. The program features tunes from Scotland, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Appalachia, along with a Sephardic waltz, two compositions by Peter Macfarlane, and a haunting air by Viveka Fox. The concert also highlights three smaller ensembles of orchestra members, including one made up of octogenarian musicians.
The VFO is led by Music Director Peter Macfarlane and Assistant Music Director Susan Reid. Admission is by donation. The orchestra gratefully acknowledges support from Vermont Violins, Vermont Mutual Insurance Company, and Northfield Savings Bank.

Read Alien Clay by Adrian Tchaikovsky, a science fiction novel exploring the thrill of alien discovery and a chaotic ecosystem. Join us for tea, snacks, and a chat! Copies of the book are available.
Adults and teens welcome.

Béla Fleck joins harpist Edmar Castañeda and drummer Antonio Sánchez in a striking all-star trio that redefines what a small ensemble can be. Fleck, a 19-time Grammy winner and genre-blurring banjo virtuoso, is joined by two of the most gifted musicians of their generation. Castañeda brings a dazzling voice to the harp rooted in jazz and world music, while Sánchez, a five-time Grammy winner, is celebrated for his visionary work in jazz and film. Together, they perform original music filled with fearless exploration, rich melodies, and grooves that twist, turn, and captivate.
