Randolph is alive year round with a bunch of activities and get-togethers! The calendar below contains many of the events taking place in and around town. Please add your own event using the Add Event button below. For municipal meetings and other town business please consult the Town of Randolph website

  • Gear House contributes to Slab Bike event every summer, as well as the Circus Ride Gravel Race, Peavine Whitewater Race, Braintree Bluegrass Brunch Rides, and three weekly group rides through the season

The Pie Poets include Ina Anderson, Doreen Ballard, Beverly Breen, Debby Franzoni, and Hatsy McGraw. Their name comes from their first collection titled, “Perhaps it was the pie.” The Pie Poets will read at Chandler’s Esther Mesh Room with a pie reception following the readings.

2026 Mud Season Variety Show

Randolph’s Mud Season Variety Show, a beloved community tradition for more than 30 years, returns on Saturday, April 11 for an evening of laughter, creativity, and hometown spirit. Audiences will cheer on friends and neighbors as they take the stage to share comedy, poetry, song, dance, and more in a joyful celebration of local talent.

The Mud Season Variety Show has been a Chandler tradition since 1995, when Randolph journalist and arts advocate Dickey Drysdale first gathered community members for a night of performance and connection. What began as a simple showcase grew into a cherished annual event where seasoned performers, community groups, and first-time participants alike find a welcoming stage.

The Vermont Fiddle Orchestra Spring 2026 Concert

The Vermont Fiddle Orchestra will take the stage at the Chandler Center for the Arts on Sunday, April 12 at 4:00 PM. The program features tunes from Scotland, Ireland, Scandinavia, and Appalachia, along with a Sephardic waltz, two compositions by Peter Macfarlane, and a haunting air by Viveka Fox. The concert also highlights three smaller ensembles of orchestra members, including one made up of octogenarian musicians.

The VFO is led by Music Director Peter Macfarlane and Assistant Music Director Susan Reid. Admission is by donation. The orchestra gratefully acknowledges support from Vermont Violins, Vermont Mutual Insurance Company, and Northfield Savings Bank.

Geof has degrees from Cornell, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Iowa. He is the author of four books of poems and three books for teachers and regularly hosts poetry slams throughout the state. He worked for the state arts council and for the Vermont Department of Education. Now retired, Geof offers writing and performance workshops throughout the state.

The White River Valley Chamber of Commerce is organizing a community day trip to the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts on Wednesday, April 22.
Participants will enjoy a guided tour of the museum’s new Arms and Armor exhibition, plus full access to the museum’s permanent collections—European art, post modern and contemporary works, ancient and Asian art, and American art. Several special exhibitions will also be on view, including Fever Dreams of a Cool Breathed Earth, Repeat After Me, and A Weather Eye: Art and Early Modern Meteorology.
